[Barrowburn Celtic Band]

Barrowburn, Raleigh's own traditional Celtic band celebrates 10 years
together at a special St. Patrick Concert at the Halle Cultural Center in
downtown Apex, NC on Saturday March 14, 2009 at 8pm.

Barrowburn prides itself in its versatility. They are equally at home
ripping through a set of jigs or reels as they are rendering the simple
beauty of a slow air. They perform both legacy and contemporary ballads from
the tradition as well as comical pub songs that are best accompanied by a
swinging pint of Guinness. In concert, they demonstrate their love for
Celtic music, but do so from an American perspective.

Also on the bill are Rude Troll, an upcoming Celtic band from Chapel Hill
and the Inis Cairde Irish Dancers. 

The Halle Cultural Center is a beautifully restored theater in one of Apex's
historic downtown buildings.  It is located at 237 North Salem Street, Apex,
