Hi,
My name is Virgil Sealy and I play fiddle and sing for Barrowburn
(http://barrowburn.net), the Raleigh, NC based Celtic music band. The other
performers in Barrowburn are Jeff Cates on fiddle and vocals; Richard Nardin
on guitar and vocals; and Hunter Murray on button accordion. Your name is on
this mailing list because you expressed some interest in our band in the
past. If do not wish to receive future mailings, just let me know and I will
remove you from the list.
=== St. Patrick's Day Updates ===
Due to a scheduling problem, Barrowburn will NOT be playing at Tir na nOg
after the parade as originally scheduled.
Assuming the weather is good for that day, members of Barrowburn will still
be accompanying the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance
(http://www.iniscairde.com/) and the Ancient Order of Hibernians float in
the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17. With the opening of
Fayetteville Street, the parade route has changed this year. The parade
starts at the corner of Cabarrus and Wilmington streets at 12:00 Noon and
proceeds north on Wilmington to Davie Street. The route then turns west to
Fayetteville Street and continues north on Fayetteville Street to the State
House. The route will pass the State House on the east side and then turn
heading east on Edenton Street. The parade then turns south on Blount Street
and ends at Moore Square. The parade is organized by the Raleigh St.
Patrick's Day Parade Committee (http://raleighstpats.org/). See their web
page for more details.
Thank you for your interest in Barrowburn and we hope to see you at some of
our live performances,
Sláinte,
-Virgil
