=====
Start off your "March Madness" with Barrowburn, who will be playing on March
2 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Tir na nOg (http://www.tirnanogirishpub.com/)
located at 218 S. Blount St. in Raleigh.
3/15 - Whole Foods Cary
=====
While you are out picking up those last minute beverages for the St.
Patrick's Day weekend, drop by Whole Foods in Cary
(http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/cary/index.html) located at 102B
Waverly Place in Cary from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to hear some great Irish music
while you are shopping. Barrowburn will be playing your favorite tunes and
songs in the store. There will also be some Irish dancers there to dazzle
you with their fancy footwork.
3/17 - Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Raleigh
=====
Assuming the weather is good for that day, members of Barrowburn will be
accompanying the Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance
(http://www.iniscairde.com/) as well as the Ancient Order of Hibernians
float in the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17. The parade starts
at the corner of Cabarrus and Wilmington Streets at 12:00 Noon. The route
proceeds North on Wilmington past the State Capital to Edenton Street. The
route then turns East on Edenton for one block to Blount Street. The parade
then turns South on Blount Street and ends at Moore Square. The parade is
organized by the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee
(http://raleighstpats.org/). See their web page for more details.
3/17 - Saint Patrick's Day at Tir na nOg
=====
Right after the parade, drop by Tir na nOg
(http://www.tirnanogirishpub.com/) for more great music and fun. Tir na nOg
is holding a big St. Patrick's Day party all day long.
3/19 - WUNC Breakfast with Fiona Ritche
=====
If you donated money to WUNC public radio as a part of their Capital
Campaign, you could have received tickets to a breakfast being held at Tir
na nOg with Fiona Ritche, host of "A Thistle and Shamrock". Barrowburn will
be providing live music for the event. I think the event is sold out now. If
you have a ticket, we hope to see you there.
Thank you for your interest in Barrowburn and we hope to see you at some of
our live performances,
Sláinte,
-Virgil
