Established in September of 2002, Celtic Fest has grown into a unique
festival of music, dance, food and culture. The festival is supported
by the Town of Cary and is organized through the hard work and dedication
of the volunteer members of the Celtic Fest committee. Celtic fest is
the first of its kind in the Triangle. The festival allows people to explore
their Celtic roots or simply join in a day of celebration of music, friends,
family, culture, and more. You can research your family name origins at
one of the Scottish Clan booths, or hear a bit o'blarney across the Irish
Sea while you shop at the quaint vendors along the straw pathway. Celtic
Fest 2004 offers multiple stages and booths for music, Scottish and Irish
dances, arts and crafts, Scottish clans, and of course, there will be
ample libations for the true Celtic connoisseur. Bring
the whole family! Special activities for all ages will be provided in
the "Wee folk glen," including arts and crafts, dancing and
traditional storytelling.
Celtic
Fest 2004 will be held at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park,
on Saturday, September 11th.
